| 1. Tube labelling | 1) After sample collection, ensure that the tube has more than 2 identifiers labeled, such as full name, sample ID, patient ID, date of birth, etc. 2) Clearly affix the label to the tube to prevent it from falling off. 3) When dealing with more than 2 sample tubes, attach a label to each tube. 4) Patient information on the labels and requisition form (when required) must match identically. | ![]() |

Tube handling | 1) After collecting the sample, ensure that the tube is tightly sealed. 2) Use Parafilm to wrap around the closed cap to prevent leakage or contamination. 3) Biohazard bags, whether made of paper or plastic, are specifically designed for the safe containment, transportation, and disposal of diagnostic and infectious materials. 4) Sample tubes must be packaged to avoid contact with external objects. In the case of diagnostic samples, they should be kept in a sterile environment to prevent contamination and maintain viability for testing. | ![]() |
